Senior Manager of Product Design, Clio Work: Drafting & Courts

Job Summary
Define and drive the design vision and strategy for Clio Work, partnering with Product and Engineering to translate business goals and customer insights into actionable design solutions. Build, lead, and mentor a team of product designers while establishing and improving design processes, standards, and best practices across the platform. Champion user-centered design principles by leveraging research and data to inform decisions, and manage design resources to forecast future staffing needs. Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels to influence product direction.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product design
- experience shipping AI-native enterprise software
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading product design teams
- Proven track record of shipping high quality, impactful work in complex and regulated problem spaces
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing design teams
- Demonstrated ability to make hard decisions with accountability and transparency
- Removes ambiguity, is adaptable and flexible
- Understand key business metrics, user needs and how to connect them to Design
- Excellent cross-disciplinary collaboration and organizational agility
- Expert in user research methodologies and the ability to translate research findings into actionable design strategies
- Strong understanding of interaction design principles, data visualization, and information architecture
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Experience working on large-scale, complex projects, and agile development processes
- Expert in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make, etc.), with fluency in Claude skills
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- If you are located near one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto), you will be expected to work in the office a minimum of twice per week on our designated Anchor Days
