Job Summary
Senior Manager of Financial Accounting Services & Systems leads strategic financial accounting operations, including contract accounting, accounts payable, cash, fixed assets, and travel & expense accounting, across multiple teams. Drives month-end close, consolidations, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 for government contracts. Oversees internal controls, risk management, and audit readiness; leads process improvement, automation, and change management to scale accounting operations; collaborates with Treasury, FP&A, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Program Finance leadership; supports revenue recognition in capture/award processes and ensures proper accounting treatment of contracts and proposals. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related discipline with 13+ years of experience; MBA/CPA/CMA desirable; onsite/hybrid role in Poway, CA with relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
- thirteen or more years of progressively complex experience in finance/accounting
- experience in a commercial or government contractor environment
- MBA in accounting or finance, CPA or CMA certification desirable
- experience with FP&A methods and principles
- strong understanding of CAS and FAR
- experience and leadership skills to manage multiple teams and drive changes
- ERP systems experience (SAP preferable)
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- willingness to travel and work extended hours
