Senior Manager, New Product Planning

Job Summary

Represent the commercial voice in interactions with cross-functional program teams to ensure commercial insight informs development decisions. Develop and adapt Target Product Profiles in collaboration with clinical and medical leadership. Maintain market landscape assessments, epidemiology, and addressable-patient models for pulmonary fibrosis and adjacent rare lung disease indications. Conduct competitive intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and evolving treatment landscapes. Support key commercial projects including product naming, packaging, branding, and positioning. Develop business cases and forecasts to support pipeline investment and prioritization decisions. Identify and manage external vendors for market research and launch consulting. Synthesize primary and secondary market research, including KOL input, into actionable recommendations. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Commercial and works closely with the Director of New Product Planning.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • 5–8 plus years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical new product planning, marketing, commercial analytics, commercial strategy, life sciences strategy consulting or related experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (e.g. MS, PhD, PharmD or equivalent)
  • Rare disease, respiratory/pulmonary, or specialty pharmaceutical experience
  • Experience in a growing or small-company commercial organization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Target Product Profiles, forecast models, and market assessment overviews independently
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and evolving scope as part of a newly formed team
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence without formal authority across Clinical, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Finance, and other cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards, and related business intelligence tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for executive and Board audiences
