Job Summary
Senior Manager, Network Operations leads a team through infrastructure modernization from traditional data centers to a cloud-native network architecture, overseeing AWS cloud networking and physical POPs in colocations. Responsible for automation initiatives using Terraform, designing secure, scalable network solutions, and maintaining 99.999% uptime. Hands-on with Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and Meraki gear; manages vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration across security, platform, and infrastructure teams. Remote-ready in Ontario or British Columbia, Canada, with a flexible-first posture. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in network engineering with 3+ years of leadership; experience in both on-prem and cloud networking, IaC, and DevOps culture.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of network engineering experience in production environments
- 3+ years of leadership and people-management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Hands-on Cisco switching and routing (BGP/OSPF) experience
- Palo Alto Networks firewall deployments experience
- AWS cloud networking expertise (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, CloudFront, Route53)
- Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
- DevOps practices and network automation
- Experience with Cisco Meraki platform
- Ability to design for high availability and 99.9%+ uptime
