Job Summary
Oversee the National Events portfolio by managing resource planning, escalations, and approvals for events across Canada, including venue selection, budget analysis, catering, AV coordination, and onsite support. Partner with a Senior Manager to shape the support model for the National Relationship Office and Campus Events, co-lead annual fiscal and resource planning, and drive process improvements. Independently plan and execute event series while leading team engagement and adapting processes to meet changing business needs. Requires 7-10 years in corporate event management with 5+ years in people leadership; bilingualism is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of professional experience in event management in a corporate setting
- A minimum of 5+ years of people leadership
- Ability to mange up and work closely with senior leadership
- Track record of strong vendor and supplier management
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Event Management, hospitality or another related program
- Proficiency in Cvent
- Prior experience with other event platforms and technologies
- Proven experience with overseeing resourcing and project assignment
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- General reporting/data management skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Proactive
- Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple, concurrent projects with timelines
- Ability to travel for onsite event execution
- Ability to work outside of business hours
