Job Summary
Senior Manager to join KPMG's Business Tax Services; build and manage client relationships for large clients, act as a first point of contact for internal and external clients, advise on tactical issues, oversee service delivery, supervise tax professionals/assistants, assess tax impact and develop tax arguments, oversee engagement risk and billing/budget, contribute to market activities, and mentor tax professionals. Requires eight years of mutual fund tax experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and CPA/EA/JD/LLM or equivalent credentials, with proficiency in 1120 RIC and 1065 tax returns and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in mutual fund tax
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
- Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM (or eligible) per KPMG's approved credential listing
- Experience in Mutual Fund and/or investment partnership
- Proficient in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and other flow-through entities including reviewing 1120 RIC and 1065 tax returns
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
