Job Summary
Senior Manager, Mutual Fund Tax at KPMG within the Business Tax Services practice. Build and manage client relationships with large clients, advise on tactical tax issues, oversee tax impact assessments and recommendations, supervise teams of tax professionals, manage engagement risk and financial performance (billing, collections, budgets), participate in market activities, and mentor other tax professionals. Requires extensive mutual fund tax experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting, and CPA/EA/JD-LLM credentials; focuses on strategic leadership, client service, and technical tax delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university
- Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM (or listed credentials)
- Minimum eight years of recent experience in mutual fund tax
- Prior experience in Mutual Fund and/or investment partnership
- Proficient in the taxation of corporations, partnerships, and other flow-through entities including reviewing 1120 RIC and 1065 tax returns, including Schedule K-1
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
