Senior Manager - Middle Office Oversight

Job Summary
Act as Deputy to the Head of Middle Office Oversight, providing end-to-end oversight of transaction management, derivative operations, corporate actions, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting across all asset classes. Monitor middle office service providers by tracking KPIs, SLAs, and delivery commitments while proactively challenging and resolving issues impacting service quality. Conduct regular service reviews, prepare performance scorecards for senior management, and coordinate with custodians, brokers, and outsourced providers to ensure timely issue resolution. Maintain and update team processes, operating manuals, and checklists to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Track root causes of operational issues, ensure preventive measures are implemented, and escalate material concerns to senior management and regulators as required. Provide guidance, coaching, and development support to junior team members while contributing to talent management and succession planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum 12 years of experience within the asset management industry
- Experience in a middle office, operations, or oversight role
- Strong operational expertise across asset management activities
- Good working knowledge of multiple asset classes, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Rates, FX Forwards, and Money Market instruments
- Strong understanding of asset management operations and control frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with a strong risk and control mindset
- Proactive, driven, and solutions-oriented with a 'can-do' attitude
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing deadlines
- Methodical and analytical thinker with the confidence to challenge existing processes and propose enhancements
- Strong team player who collaborates effectively and acts as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders
