Job Summary
Senior Manager, Manufacturing Programs – Production Process Owners leads and develops the manufacturing process owners, provides end-to-end governance and execution support for Drug Product Supply operations at Amgen's Thousand Oaks site, and drives continuous improvement across unit operations. Key duties include cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Facilities and Engineering, Automation, Supply Chain, and Maintenance; governance and execution of manufacturing readiness, technical governance, and issue resolution; optimizing processes to increase productivity and reduce waste while ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements; leading site governance forums, mentoring PPOs, and driving CAPAs, deviations, and effectiveness verification. Strong emphasis on Lean/continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and clear technical writing and communication to translate complex technical topics into actionable governance updates.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR Master’s degree and 6 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Manufacturing and Operations experience
- minimum 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resources
