Job Summary
Lead the manufacturing organization for the IBD300 product line, overseeing sub-assembly, assembly, integration, test, and shipment readiness activities. Drive safety-first culture goals, including zero preventable incidents, while partnering with engineering, supply chain, and quality to optimize design for manufacturability and first-pass yield. Manage product line manufacturing plans, staffing, capacity, and budgets to ensure on-time shipment performance exceeding 95%. Establish productivity roadmaps focused on lean manufacturing, cycle time reduction, and continuous improvement through daily operating reviews and GEMBA activities. Lead production-related quality investigations using 8D and root cause analysis, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and 6S standards. Build and develop the manufacturing team through training, coaching, and performance management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, New Product Introduction, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience
- Experience leading production teams in a complex manufacturing environment
- Experience in bringing a new product to market
- High-mix, low-volume capital equipment manufacturing experience
- Experience with large-scale systems with complex bills of material
- Experience with Lean manufacturing
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping
- Experience with Concurrent engineering
- Experience with Six Sigma
- Experience with 8D
- Experience with root cause analysis
- Experience with production quality management
- Knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Technical capabilities to participate in concurrent engineering activities and design reviews
- Practical mindset relative to manufacturability, production execution, test readiness, material availability, and business processes
- Process-oriented, data-driven mindset for decision-making and driving quality into the product through internal manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional partners
- Essential characteristics of a 'can-do' attitude, integrity, competitiveness, accountability, creativity, and teamwork
- Capability to create, articulate, and implement a clear manufacturing vision and operating rhythm for the IBD300 product line
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop a high-performing product line team through assessment, recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and development
- Domestic travel
- Some international travel
