Senior Manager, Maintenance & Reliability Engineering

Job Summary
Oversee operating performance and plant maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and instrument systems while establishing and administering the Operations and Maintenance budget. Lead reliability engineers and supervisors in analyzing products and equipment to predict failures, manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and cGMP regulations. Direct preventive maintenance best practices, coordinate with engineering and production teams on capital projects, and manage all maintenance contracts including bid creation and scope definition. Monitor expenses, identify critical spare parts, and administer Collective Bargaining Agreements for Union staff. Participate on multi-functional project teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain key performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience in maintenance or equipment repair
- Experience managing Union staff
- Administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Other elements of labor relations
- In-depth knowledge of industry and regulatory standards
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis
- Utilizing process improvement methods (Continuous Improvement)
- Maintenance management systems
- OSHA PSM
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements to include cGMP's, EPA, OSHA, DEA, DOT, and any other applicable local, governmental and company guidelines
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing and plant support systems
- Hands-on with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Team and collaborative abilities at all levels
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skill sets
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Proven ability to manage and multi-task with multiple projects to timely completion
