Job Summary
Senior Manager role leading quality engineering across multiple engineering teams at Mad Mobile in Colombo, SL. Responsibilities include evangelizing a full-stack QE philosophy, defining test strategies (test automation, performance, security), guiding QE teams to achieve testability, reviewing test scenarios and scripts, driving tool selection and test infrastructure, and collaborating with Engineering, Product, PM, and UI/UX to ensure comprehensive testability. Requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years of experience, strong skills in Selenium/Appium-based web/mobile automation, Java/OOP, JMeter for performance testing, REST Assured/SoapUI for service testing, and strong Agile/DevOps experience; certifications (ISTQB, PMI-ACP, CSM) are a plus. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and driving testing productivity within a hybrid-work environment, with on-site involvement at the US headquarters as part of a global organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification
- 10+ years of industry experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role and handling multiple projects
- Strong knowledge in quality engineering practices and processes
- Expert knowledge of agile software testing practices, test design techniques and test reporting
- Experience in Agile and DevOps environments
- Experience in building web and mobile test automation frameworks with Selenium and Appium
- Experience in testing middle-tier and service-oriented architectures with Rest Assured or SoapUI
- Strong knowledge of Java, OOP concepts, coding standards, and improving code quality
- Expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Maven, Git
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and negotiation skills
- Professional certifications such as ISTQB, PMI-ACP, or CSM (added advantage)
- Thirst for learning and regularly updating knowledge
