Senior Manager, M&A Accounting

Job Summary

Partner with Corporate Development to address technical acquisition issues, facilitate transition of due diligence findings, and support purchase price allocation studies. Review portfolio investments for impairment indicators, evaluate initial accounting for minority investments, and interface with external auditors on opening balance sheets and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Drive adoption of AI and Alteryx tools in corporate accounting activities while overseeing associates and contributing to global finance projects. This role combines technical accounting depth with strategic thinking in a busy, evolving M&A environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 7+ years of experience in a large, international, public accounting firm and/or large multinational company
  • Expert knowledge in: Acquisition accounting under ASC 805, including experience performing or auditing third-party purchase price allocations, contingent consideration, call/ put options, and fair value adjustments to inventory
  • Accounting for Impairments of Intangible Assets, Goodwill, and Long-Lived assets under ASC 350 and 360
  • Experience supporting accounting matters in multinational and public-company environments
  • Ability to partner with external auditors and support SEC disclosure / external reporting processes
  • The preferred location for this role is hybrid in Waltham, MA, but remote candidates will be considered

Desired Qualifications

  • CPA preferred
