Job Summary
Senior Manager, Legal to provide strategic legal support across renewable energy initiatives in the Philippines, with emphasis on business development, construction-related matters, and dispute resolution for wind, solar, battery storage, and land. Responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating complex contracts (EPC, O&M, joint ventures, offtake, and debt financings), offering expert counsel on regulatory and compliance issues (Philippine laws, AML, data privacy, anti-bribery/anti-corruption), and guiding regional APAC legal matters. The role also involves advising on corporate matters, maintaining document templates, conducting legal research, and supervising 1–2 lawyers within the Philippines team. The candidate should have strong negotiation and communication skills to support growth and ensure regulatory compliance across projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years as a practicing lawyer
- At least 5 years of experience in the energy industry preferred or as general counsel
- Strong background in business development, construction-related legal matters, and dispute resolution
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex transactions and provide strategic advice
- Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
