Job Summary
Senior Manager, Interconnection Services leads generator interconnection from development through construction, partnering with ISOs/RTOs, utilities, and internal teams to evaluate interconnection feasibility, manage studies, and navigate regulatory requirements. Executes interconnection and injection studies using tools like PowerGEM, PSS/E, ASPEN, and TARA to identify project locations, manages the interconnection application process to meet ISO/RTO and regulatory timelines, reviews system impact and facility studies, coordinates with development, engineering, and construction teams, analyzes grid constraints and transmission planning criteria, and supports technical negotiations to reduce costs. Develops strategies to minimize curtailment and informs project strategy by monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes, while communicating complex technical findings to leadership and non-technical partners.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced in power systems, transmission planning, and generator interconnection processes
- 5+ years of experience with power flow, short-circuit, and stability analysis tools
- Experience with ISO/RTO processes, NERC standards, and transmission regulations
