Job Summary
Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the enterprise Information Governance framework, including records management, data lifecycle management, retention, and defensible disposal. Drive IG communications, training, and awareness programs to foster accountability; translate legal, regulatory, and business requirements into scalable IG policies, standards, and procedures. Align IG strategy with enterprise data, privacy, security, and digital transformation initiatives; own the global records retention schedule and ensure compliance with GDPR and other obligations. Support audits, regulatory inquiries, customer assessments, and risk reviews; partner with IT, Security, and Digital teams to operationalize IG controls in enterprise systems (e.g., M365, content repositories). Drive adoption of automation and scalable controls to manage data growth and complexity.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree and 9 years of relevant experience; or MS/MA degree and 7 years of relevant experience
- Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Information Governance Professional (IGP), preferred
- Familiarity with emerging technologies impacting IG (AI, analytics, collaboration tools) and cross-border data considerations
