Job Summary
Senior Manager II, Principal Solution Engineer leading end-to-end solution discovery, design, and deployment for AI/ML-enabled digital capabilities in R&D/biotech contexts. Responsibilities include defining system design requirements and data flows for Trial Design, Optimization, Operations, and Success Prediction; developing scalable software applications and ML models; integrating ML/LLMs into production systems; partnering with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineers to create scalable design options; ensuring adherence to architectural standards, data governance, security, and compliance; driving CI/CD adoption; mentoring teams; and managing vendor and partner deliverables in a fast-paced, Agile environment. Strong emphasis on leadership, stakeholder management, and delivering high-quality, reliable solutions across global teams, with hands-on expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), data engineering, and modern software architectures. On-site at Hyderabad, India with occupancy-based remote/onsite expectations; role aligns to transforming patient outcomes through science.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related fields
- 13+ years of experience in solution analysis, business analysis, or techno-functional roles
- 6-8 years in Lifesciences & Healthcare with global-scale experience
- 5+ years of experience in building and managing teams
- Hands-on AI/ML and data engineering experience
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) experience
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, product-based delivery
- SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, cloud services, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong programming skills (Python, Java)
- Experience delivering ML/Deep Learning models and production systems
- Leadership and mentoring abilities
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in global, matrixed environments
- Vendor coordination and outcomes-focused delivery
Desired Qualifications
- 13+ years of experience in solution analysis, business analysis, or techno-functional roles within data/analytics or digital product teams
- 6-8 years of demonstrable experience in Lifesciences & Healthcare industry with proven expertise in data acquisition, clinical trial execution, and analysis reporting on a global scale
- 5+ years of experience in building and managing teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related fields
- Advanced degree preferred
- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML enabled solutions, data engineering pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and modern software architectures
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and product-based delivery methodologies
- Understanding data modeling, SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
- Experience in building/implementing Machine Learning and Deep Learning models and in evaluating and fine-tuning Machine Learning models
- Proven track record of delivering complex software products in Agile environments
- Exhibit influential leadership and communication capabilities with a proven ability to engage, develop and inspire a diverse geographical team
- Expertise in defining product vision, market positioning, and competitive strategy
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in global, matrixed environments and influence business partners
- Experience with vendor coordination, service delivery oversight, and outcome driven execution
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using AWS services such as SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of the current information technology landscape and experience with experimenting with new technologies from proof of concept through scaleup
- Experience managing vendor and partner delivery with a focus on outcomes
- Ability to build resilient teams with a “can-do” attitude
