Job Summary
Lead a large, diverse reporting function for Group Risk Committee & Council Governance by hiring talent, setting goals, and managing performance and compensation decisions. Oversee complex governance activities including agenda planning, meeting material coordination, minutes, action item tracking, and follow-up with stakeholders. Provide strategic direction on global Risk program activities, develop enterprise-wide frameworks and policies, and facilitate key discussions for the executive audience. Manage the overall budget, P&L, and resource allocation while leading periodic exams, audits, and regulatory responses. Forecast initiatives to develop annual strategic plans and establish long-term objectives that align with business strategies. This role supports the Office of the Chief Risk Officer in maintaining a strong, consistent governance framework aligned with regulatory expectations and internal standards.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of multiple risk management disciplines, strategies, governance, regulations, controls, operating environment, consulting principles, procedures and processes
- Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigation
- Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide trusted and reliable reporting, advice and opinion to senior leadership
- Ability to forecast initiatives and demand in order to develop annual strategic plan
- Skill in managing budgets, P&L, and resource allocation
- Skill in talent development and performance management
- Advanced ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives
- Ability to make an impact, influence, and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Desired Qualifications
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk governance, or committee and council operating practices
- Demonstrated experience supporting governance forums, committees, or executive-level meetings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, Co-pilot and governance repositories or tracking tools
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, Power BI, or workflow/reporting tools
