Job Summary
Design social graphics, marketing collateral, and infographics for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Support website design by updating pages and landing pages, while producing presentation decks for board meetings and donor pitches. Create light motion graphics and video edits to enhance campaign content. Maintain and evolve the visual brand identity across all assets. This role requires rapid-response execution on real-time campaigns, including occasional evenings and weekend work. Based in New York City, the position involves some travel for events and shoots.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design
- Ideally with some exposure to nonprofit, advocacy, media, or mission-driven organizations
- A strong portfolio spanning social media graphics, presentation/deck design, marketing collateral, and brand-consistent design work
- Comfort with light motion graphics and basic video post-production
- Some website design experience
- Familiarity in tools like WordPress, or Squarespace
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Figma, or equivalent design tools
- An eye for translating complex or data-heavy information into clear, compelling infographics
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple design requests and deadlines independently
- Genuine passion for criminal justice reform and REFORM Alliance's mission
- Nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven creative experience
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Live within commuting distance of New York City (midtown)
- Ability to work in-person five (5) days per week
Desired Qualifications
- After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar
- Non-traditional hours (evenings and weekend work)
- Non-traditional hours 4-6 times/month
- Travel to attend key events and video shoots
- Estimated travel 4-6 days/year
