Job Summary
Senior Manager, GPS & Intelligence leads the enterprise Security Intelligence Program, including threat monitoring, risk analysis, and governance to keep BioMarin people, places, and products safe. Establishes a Global Protection program around the Board of Directors, leadership, travelers, and key meetings/events. Produces intelligence products (risk assessments, threat briefs, travel risk guidance, executive summaries). Coordinates crisis management support, advises on high‐risk events, and supports decision-making post-incident. Engages senior leaders and cross-functional partners with clear intelligence and recommended mitigations; manages external providers and tools; mentors a Security Operations Center team and fosters continuous improvement. Preferred: experience in biotech, global operations/travel risk, crisis management, and familiarity with threat-monitoring platforms; ability to operate in regulated/high-risk environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in security studies, international relations, political science, intelligence, criminology, or a related field
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in intelligence, security risk analysis, threat assessment, or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience leading or building intelligence programs in a corporate, government, military, or global security environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex threat information into clear, actionable guidance
- Proven ability to brief senior executives and influence decision-making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
