Job Summary
Develop and execute global medical education strategies that translate clinical and real-world evidence into credible, compliant messaging aligned with brand priorities. Establish the Medical Affairs and Medical Education function within the Cardiovascular organization, defining operating models, governance, and scalable roadmaps to support portfolio growth. Lead cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to shape congress strategies, KOL engagement, and evidence dissemination while building a high-performing team. Manage direct people leadership responsibilities including recruiting, coaching, and developing future capabilities in scientific communication. This strategic role bridges evidence generation and commercial execution, ensuring data is effectively interpreted and applied through global education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific, clinical, or technical discipline
- 10+ years' experience in medical affairs, clinical education, scientific marketing, or evidence-based communications within the medical device or healthcare industry
- Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing team members, with demonstrated ability to develop talent and drive team performance
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives, building new programs, or establishing organizational capabilities in a healthcare or medical device environment
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate clinical evidence into effective education and marketing support using the ability to distill complex data into simple, relevant messages
- Strong scientific literacy and evidence interpretation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply strategic thinking skills to develop actionable programs and insights
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across global stakeholders
- High ethical standards with a compliance mindset
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of time domestically and internationally
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA, MPH) or equivalent experience
- Experience in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, imaging, or cath lab technologies
- Experience building, launching, or significantly transforming medical affairs, medical education, or scientific communications functions in a global healthcare or medical technology environment
- Demonstrated success building teams and capabilities in fast-growing or evolving organizations
- Experience supporting global launches, congress strategy, or medical education programs
- Familiarity with global medical-legal-regulatory review processes
