Job Summary
Manage complex fund liquidation and wind-down engagements across jurisdictions, collaborating with global teams in the U.S., Europe, and APAC to deliver solutions for asset managers and institutional investors. Coordinate and lead junior staff, review their work, and ensure timely project delivery while managing fund operations including accounting, taxation, legal, and investor relations. Draft liquidation strategy memos, investor updates, and board communications, and oversee the efficient progression of a portfolio of Fund Solutions and restructuring projects. Review fund documentation to identify constraints and apply valuation and financial concepts to support asset management and exit strategies. Build professional relationships with fund managers, creditors, and solicitors while navigating regulated environments across multiple mandates.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant degree, achieving 2:1 or equivalent
- At least 6 to 7 years' relevant experience
- Ability to lead a team consisting of Senior Associates and Analysts
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop and drive relationships with individuals from all industries
- Ability to master new tasks quickly whilst showing strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Ability to manage rapidly changing assignments and work well under pressure
- Strong team player and work in a team environment, across multiple mandates
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess and manage risk, deal with ambiguity and understand the commercial drivers of the outcomes of our work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding public and private databases like Pitchbook, Preqin and Capital IQ is a plus
- Prior exposures to fund structures, such as master/feeder, management fee, carry etc. is preferred
- Ability to interpret and apply foreign rules, regulations and laws is a plus
- Ability to work in regulated environments like SEC, Cayman, Mauritius etc
- A relevant accounting or investment qualification is preferred
