Job Summary
Senior Manager – Fund Accounting & Valuation oversight in Luxembourg: responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of NAV calculations and asset valuations across a diversified portfolio of private and public market funds. Lead the final validation and sign-off of valuations, oversee migration and supervision of fund administration delegates, and manage relationships with third parties. Escalate valuation discrepancies and operational risks, and provide expert recommendations on valuation methodologies and accounting treatments. Requires interpretation of complex investment documentation and advanced technical knowledge across liquid and illiquid assets; aims to strengthen governance, regulatory compliance, investor confidence, and fiduciary responsibilities within Aviva Investors’ framework.
Required Qualifications
- ACCA (or equivalent) required
- Experience in Fund Accounting and Valuation in private and public markets
- Knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS
- Ability to lead valuation and NAV sign-off processes
- Experience with audit and writing memos on complex accounting treatment
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies for liquid and illiquid assets
- Ability to manage third-party relationships (external service providers, appraisers)
- Strong governance and risk management skills
- Regulatory compliance experience within AIFM framework
- Ability to interpret complex investment documentation
- Effective communicator and leader in a multinational environment
- Proven ability to escalate valuation discrepancies and operational risks
