Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Flight Test will oversee the flight test team, focusing on test deployment strategies, designing and reviewing test plans for mechanical and GNC systems, and analyzing flight data to address anomalies. The role includes managing risk assessments for UAS and manned operations, contributing to fleet management, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, extensive experience in flight testing, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in data analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience in leadership roles, managing teams and projects effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate and adapt in dynamic environments
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Extensive experience in flight testing with a strong understanding of flight test methodologies and procedures
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques for interpreting flight data
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance requirements for UAS operations
- Experience with mentoring and coaching to develop the skills of junior team members
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in flight testing and aircraft development
