Job Summary
Prepare quarterly financial statements, SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), and earnings per share calculations while managing external auditor reviews and disclosure checklists. Lead research and documentation of technical accounting conclusions under US GAAP, including preparation of memos on complex judgment areas and stock-based compensation. Monitor internal controls over financial reporting and equity accounting, identifying automation opportunities using AI and other tools to improve processes. This role reports to the VP of Accounting with a visible seat on strategic conversations involving the CFO, Head of Investor Relations, and Chief Accounting Officer. The position requires 6-8 years of financial reporting and technical accounting experience in the technology industry or public accounting, with proficiency in NetSuite, E*TRADE Equity Edge Online, and automation tools.
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS in finance/accounting, CPA
- 6-8 years of financial reporting and technical accounting experience in the Technology industry and/or public accounting firm
- Experience accounting for stock-based compensation under ASC 718 in a publicly traded company
- Experience working with the E*TRADE Equity Edge Online platform
- Strong analytical and written communication skills
- A proactive worker with integrity and accountability
- Team player
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient in Google Workspace
