Job Summary
Oversee development of comprehensive financial reports, lead budgeting for the entire business unit, and drive cost optimization initiatives to enhance profitability. Manage operational complexities by identifying key financial variances, providing actionable insights to executive leadership, and aligning financial strategies with state Medicaid requirements and corporate goals. Act as a liaison between senior leadership and cross-functional teams to influence business decisions and ensure alignment across departments. The Senior Manager will reside in the larger New York area. This role supports the CFO directly to achieve financial and strategic goals within the New York Medicaid Health Plan.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in larger New York area
- 7+ years financial experience including strategic and business planning, financial planning, analysis, P&L, reporting or accounting
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare or insurance
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or similar disciplines required or equivalent years of experience
Desired Qualifications
- Health Plan Finance
- Experience in P&L management and leadership with budgets and forecasts
- Experience in development of Budgets and identification of risks and opportunities
- P&L ownership and key financial metrics
- Medicaid, Medicare or Commercial health insurance products and financial drivers
- Advanced degree in Business and/or FSA/CPA
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or similar disciplines
- Experience in Financial analysis, trends, projections, and analytics
