Job Summary
Own the consolidated financial model across four planning layers, migrating it into Vena while building driver-based scenario planning. Produce runway views to one-to-two-week precision and partner with the CFO on capital-timing decisions. Assist Controllership with annual budgets, monthly reforecasts, and board-cycle refreshes, delivering board packs, ELT summaries, and weekly cash reports with a focus on automation. Lead the EPM buildout alongside stakeholders across Corporate Controls, Project Controls, People, and Commercial to streamline FP&A processes. This role supports Rondo Energy's growth in industrial decarbonization using proprietary heat battery technology. The position requires fluency at the nexus of GAAP/IFRS accounting and forward-looking FP&A, with a track record of leveraging frontier AI tools for productivity improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience owning a company-level, driver-based financial model end-to-end
- Elite Excel modeling
- Fluency at the nexus where GAAP/IFRS accounting meets forward-looking FP&A
- Experience with EPM implementation or ownership (Vena, Anaplan, Pigment, or Planful)
- Experience in a high-growth, climate, energy, or industrials company, ideally with VC or similar early/mid-stage capital backing
- A proven track record of flexibility and adaptability with fast changing environments
- Curiosity-forward, intellectually-humble, and bias-toward-action-oriented approach to complex problem solving
- Demonstrated success in leveraging frontier AI tools to generate real, team-oriented productivity improvements
- The ability to communicate confidently and directly with a Board- and ELT members
- The ability to manage highly complex, nuanced needs while driving simplicity, durability, and repeatability in process construction and ownership
- Hybrid work arrangement necessitating on-site presence at Alameda HQ 3 days per week
