Job Summary

Senior Manager, Finance - Capital Reporting leads the FP&A team responsible for capital generation reporting and the annual budget process for Transamerica’s capital generation. Responsibilities include leading a team for management reporting and regulatory reporting deliverables, preparing capital-related reporting packages for senior management and governance committees, reviewing and approving content, guiding budget creation, forecasting, and continuous evaluation of results, and partnering with business units and corporate functions to ensure capital forecasts are aligned. The role involves coordinating cross-functional initiatives, coaching and developing the team, and ensuring a control environment with potential process ownership. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent), 10+ years of finance experience with 5+ years in supervision, strong communication and organizational skills, and advanced Excel/finance systems knowledge. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of insurance products, statutory reporting, NAIC RBC requirements, and experience with Oracle ERP.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
  • Ten years of accounting/finance experience including five years of supervisory/management experience
  • Strong people management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, to diverse audiences
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, Excel and financial business systems
