Job Summary
Drive back quality escapes from factory, suppliers, contractors, and general contractors by leading corrective actions and root cause analysis to prevent repetition. Lead the field quality team to reduce unplanned hours through reporting, visibility, and lessons learned meetings while managing monthly status updates and critical incident reporting. Audit site construction and product installations against design requirements to ensure safe, reliable operations and support Early Life Failure responses using 8D methodology. Partner with Supplier Quality, Factory Quality, Safety, and Field Service to resolve cross-functional deficiencies from design through commissioning and focus on continuous improvement via data-driven cost reduction.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- 15 years relevant work experience
- Minimum 10 years of field experience constructing, installing and commissioning complex power systems
- Ability to read, understand and clearly communicate civil and electrical designs and standards to internal and external partners and respective verticals
- Empowered self-starter that operates with significant autonomy with proven ability to clearly communicate schedule, top priorities and documents, escalates key emerging issues to internal and external business partners
- Proven ability to leverage organizational roles and responsibilities to hold process owners accountable for meeting established design and workmanship standards and national and regional code requirements
- Customer-facing role requires high level of professionalism and communications skills set when responding to site incidents, attending critical milestone activities with customer representatives and communicating Bloom Energy expectations where deficiencies or deviations from contract are identified
- Solid experience with MS Suite and Salesforce (or similar)
- Travel expectation as high as 60%
- This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week
