Senior Manager, Field Application Engineering (General Embedded Markets)

Job Summary
Bridge customers and QNX R&D, Product Management, and Engineering Services by guiding technical strategy alongside Regional Sales Managers and your FAE team. Architect and deliver demos, benchmarks, design reviews, and early development support while overseeing customer programs from concept through commercial release. Present compelling technical content virtually and on-site, maintain competitive intelligence, and feed insights back into Marketing and Sales. Mentor a diverse group of Field Application Engineers to foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Travel approximately 25% across EMEA. Lead revenue growth by accelerating platform adoption in robotics, medical, and industrial accounts while strengthening strategic relationships with key customers.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience managing technical sales or FAE teams
- Embedded systems expertise
- Embedded systems expertise — ideally with RTOS, real-time programming, C/C++, or low-level development
- Customer-facing technical experience bridging engineering and business needs
- Linux development familiarity and comfort with modern embedded toolchains
- Strong interpersonal skills across cultures and languages
- Ability to travel ~25% across EMEA
Desired Qualifications

- Experience in automotive, medical, robotics, or industrial markets
- Knowledge of competitive RTOS solutions (Wind River, Green Hills, Vector)
