Senior Manager, Family Resource Center

Job Summary

Oversee the El Modena Family Resource Center, managing programs and services for Families and Communities Together and Community Services Block grants. Direct staff, volunteers, and interns while supervising facility operations and coordinating with external partners and funder representatives. Develop workflows, lead community needs assessments, and prepare grant applications to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and reporting requirements. Facilitate meetings, manage budgets, and drive fundraising initiatives to support sustainable community impact. * **Salary:** $75,000-$95,000 * **Location:** Orange County, CA * **Level:** Senior Manager * **Employment Type:** Full-time * **Sponsorship:** N/A * **Benefits:** N/A

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree social work, counseling, psychology or related field
  • 3 years leadership experience coaching and mentoring staff, volunteers and interns
  • 3 years' experience with family strengthening program management, development and implementation with the development of standard operating procedures, with documented processes and systems
  • Demonstrative knowledge in business and non-profit operations that include but not limited to facility operations, funding identification, support grant writing, presentations, fiduciary oversight, budget management and making necessary programmatic recommendations to further the CAP OC mission and vision
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with diverse, low-income, at risk/vulnerable youth, families and seniors experiencing poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, mental health issues, child abuse, etc.
  • 3 years' experience with case management, crisis intervention, trauma informed practice, harm reduction, motivational interviewing and other evidence-based and/or research informed practices
  • 2 years' experience with leading community engagement and advocacy groups, driving community change
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Fluent verbal and written English language and mathematical skills sufficient to create, compose or compile information and data for reports or presentations
  • Possess a valid California Drivers License and proof of vehicle insurance
  • access to a vehicle and willingness to drive/travel when required
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Possess a valid California Driver's License with a driving record that meets minimum standards established by Community Action Partnership of Orange County carrier

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively utilize Data Systems (Apricot360 and Vista Share a plus)
  • various computer software, virtual platforms such as Zoom, Google Meets, Teams, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive and as well as current version of Windows, Google Docs, Google Drive, etc.
  • Position requires excellent computer literacy, establishing paperless systems, technological savviness and use of troubleshooting devices including Printer, Projectors, Cell Phone and Copier
  • Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with public officials, private industry, community groups, legislatures, advisory boards and employees
  • Work with people from all social economic and ethnic groups
  • Be independent and self-directed. Exercise considerable judgment. Be flexible, creative, self-starter, capable of articulating vision/purpose
  • Be comfortable with change, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and good problem solving skills
  • Supervise employees and volunteers with special projects
