Job Summary
Lead HQ facilities planning, maintenance, engineering, and regulatory operations at Carlsbad headquarters. Build and lead the Facilities and General Services team while managing construction, space planning, and infrastructure projects from bid to completion. Oversee preventative maintenance, mechanical systems, and site services including café and mailroom operations. Partner with Legal, Security, and business leaders to ensure project and daily operational success. Serve as the primary contact for environmental audits, inspections, and permit renewals, leading chemical and hazardous materials compliance. Co-own the Building Emergency & Safety Team with Corporate Security for training and drills. Requires 5+ years of corporate facilities management experience, including team leadership, and OSHA 30-Hour certification. Annual base pay ranges from $130,000 to $145,000.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of corporate facilities management experience
- 3+ years leading and developing a team
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification
- CSP (or equivalent safety certification)
- CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certification
- Corporate Security experience
- Normal office conditions within a corporate and warehouse environment
- Consistent use of computer and other office equipment
- Occasional domestic travel
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, or move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to perform tasks that may include repetitive movements or computer-based work as needed
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary

- Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, budgets, and timelines
- Ability to negotiate contracts and effectively manage vendor relationships
- Solid understanding of facility engineering disciplines, building trades and specialties
- Ability to manage fast paced and urgent situations with a calm presence and demeanor
- Strong customer service orientation, treating internal employees and departments as customers and responding with urgency and professionalism
