Job Summary
Lead the Facilities department for Advanced Bionics in Valencia, CA, overseeing technical supervision of staff and vendors and managing all facilities programs, including preventive maintenance, Building Management Systems, environmental controls (CEA), utilities, and regulatory compliance across FDA/ISO standards. Develop and execute facilities strategies aligned with operational objectives, coordinate shutdowns and upgrades, manage daily facilities operations, budgeting, and vendor negotiations, and collaborate with EMS/EHS to support safety, sustainability, and business-continuity planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Science, or related discipline preferred; four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, with 10+ years of facilities maintenance experience including 3+ years in a managerial role, preferably within biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device Controlled Environmental Areas (CEAs).
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities
- Experience with Building Management Systems and preventive maintenance programs
- Knowledge of environmental operations, including purified water systems, waste management, and regulatory compliance (FDA, OSHA, ISO 13485, ISO 14001)
- Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Fluent in English; Spanish language skills preferred
- Proficiency with CMMS and standard office software
- Ability to interpret architectural/utility drawings and regulatory requirements
- Capacity to manage budgeting and cross-functional collaboration
- Willingness to work in Valencia, CA on-site
