Job Summary
Senior Manager, Facilities leads strategy and day-to-day operations of the facilities function, overseeing building systems (HVAC, utilities, and infrastructure), turnover and commissioning activities, and ongoing maintenance. Partners with Design Engineering, Construction, Operations, and EHS to ensure new buildings and upgrades are properly commissioned, handed over, and operated. Builds and mentors a high-performing facilities team, manages capital and expense projects, and drives continuous improvement to enhance asset reliability, response time, service quality, and maintenance effectiveness. Responsible for CMMS readiness, turnover documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, commissioning reports, training records, warranty documents, spare parts information, asset data), punch-list closure, and KPI tracking for facilities performance. Travel ~30% across the US to support multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience in facilities, plant engineering, commissioning, maintenance, or related operations support within complex manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
- Experience leading facilities operations in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to safety, compliance, and reliability
- Experience supporting commissioning, startup, turnover, or operational readiness activities for building systems, utilities, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of how to review and manage handover documentation from construction, design, OEMs, and contractors
- Experience with capital project execution, contractor management, and cross-functional coordination
- Familiarity with building management systems, facility controls, and maintenance planning processes
- Experience with CMMS asset setup, preventive maintenance development, or turnover data requirements is a plus
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive mindset, sound technical judgment, and a passion for building reliable, scalable infrastructure
