Job Summary
Lead the external reporting team on drafting and filing high-quality financial statement disclosures in SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K) while managing the end-to-end filing process and timeline with external auditors. Drive quarter-end internal management reviews, create presentation materials for senior leadership, and coordinate with Investor Relations to respond to analyst inquiries. Own equity accounting processes, including stock-based compensation entries, valuations, and diluted share calculations, while managing Sarbanes-Oxley controls and non-GAAP reporting policies. Support month-end close processes, review journal entries, and coordinate policy updates for FASB pronouncements and SEC rules. Develop and mentor the team to reinforce culture and drive continuous improvements in financial reporting systems.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Finance/Accounting
- Active CPA license
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Big 4 public accounting firm experience
- Global Fortune 500 company experience
- High tech industry experience
- Controllership experience
- Deep understanding and application of U.S. GAAP
- Deep understanding and application of SEC reporting requirements
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to see bigger picture and prioritize strategically
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across all functions and levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
- Ability to research and simplify complex situations
