Job Summary

Lead the Core Platform engineering team by building, maintaining, and evolving software culture while coaching engineers on skills and performance. Drive end-to-end solution execution for Canadian Personal Banking platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, technology roadmaps, and emerging industry standards. Manage incident escalation processes, oversee resource requirements, and execute strategic solution planning to meet SLAs and budget constraints. Collaborate with stakeholders to define delivery approaches, leverage synergies across teams, and introduce new technologies to enhance platform robustness. Anticipate regulatory and business issues to recommend process improvements while maintaining compliance with governance and audit standards.

Required Qualifications

University or postgraduate degree
10+ years of mainframe application design, development and operational support experience
2-3 years of leadership/collaborator role(s) on multi-application / multi-platform solutions

Experience in partnering with the Operations team to automatically integrate with appropriate tools and processes as part of automated/self-serve Application, Platform or Infrastructure releases
Experience in working with partners across Technology to apply in-depth understanding of relevant business needs to identify and leverage synergies across the various areas
Experience in acting as the expert or lead innovator and agent of change for the programs and services under management
Experience in leading interface with other technology teams to implement best practices, standards and management
