Job Summary
Senior Manager, Engineering at Arctic Wolf to lead a team of data storage, data management and data engineering professionals, providing technical leadership for the Databricks-based data platform, overseeing data infrastructure availability and cost-efficiency, coordinating data solutions across multiple geographies, and guiding data pipelines, dashboards, and automation efforts in a cybersecurity domain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field
- Six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related role
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing high-availability solutions for DataBricks in a high-volume security telemetry environment
- Knowledge in EPP, EDR and XDR Data Schema evolution
- Experience using Amazon DMS to migrate EDR data from SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle to target databases (Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB)
- Experience writing and maintaining Jenkins pipelines or Cloudbees job configurations to streamline CI/CD
- Experience using JIRA for project management
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing PostgreSQL databases (schema design, indexing, performance)
- Developing Python-based applications, scripts, and utilities to automate tasks
- Designing and managing NoSQL databases with DynamoDB
- Administering and managing PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and other specified databases (installation, configuration, backup/recovery, performance tuning)
- Using automation technologies to automate IT processes (infrastructure provisioning, deployment, configuration management)
- Ability to develop and maintain data pipelines and dashboards via Databricks notebooks (Python, Scala, SQL)
- Knowledge of data storage strategies, data lake concepts and data warehouse management
- Experience with ACIDity, performance and throughput objectives
- Strong leadership and staffing capabilities
- On-call rotation responsibilities
