Job Summary
Lead and grow the Electrical Systems Engineering team by setting technical direction, managing performance, and fostering continuous learning. Architect and design circuits, firmware, and control algorithms for battery formation and research systems while managing complex engineering projects. Drive cross-functional collaboration with global R&D, electrochemistry, and manufacturing teams to translate technical progress into business decisions. Make high-impact technical decisions in a fast-paced R&D environment, balancing current product needs with future technology development. Travel up to 15% to support supplier engagement and global collaboration. Own the technical roadmap for electrical research platforms, ensuring engineering best practices are consistently applied.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related field
- 15+ years of industry experience developing complex electronic systems
- At least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of battery and battery chemistry
- Expertise in circuit design, embedded systems, embedded C, Python, control theory, power electronics, digital signal processing, and PC application development
