Job Summary
Lead the Electrical Systems Engineering team to develop battery formation and chemistry research systems, architecting circuits, firmware, and control algorithms for custom electronics. Manage complex engineering projects for chemistry research while driving cross-functional collaboration with global R&D, electrochemistry, and manufacturing teams. Translate technical progress into business-relevant decisions and make high-impact technical decisions in a fast-paced R&D environment. Travel up to 15% to support development and supplier engagement. Own the technical roadmap for electrical research platforms, ensuring engineering best practices are consistently applied.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related field
- 15+ years of industry experience developing complex electronic systems
- At least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of battery and battery chemistry
- Expertise in circuit design, embedded systems, embedded C, Python, control theory, power electronics, digital signal processing, and PC application development
