Senior Manager - driving AI innovation in defence software

Job Summary
Senior Manager leads two product development teams (data scientists, developers, architects, student workers and a Scrum master) for SitaWare Insight, with full responsibility for delivery and people leadership. Responsibilities include hiring/onboarding, driving two streams (strengthening current capabilities and developing agentic AI), overseeing scope, timelines, budgets, risk, KPIs, and stakeholder alignment, and promoting an inclusive culture. The role involves occasional travel to Copenhagen (roughly 5–10 days/year) and requires strong experience with agile software delivery, team leadership, and collaboration with customers and product owners.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science or a similar IT-related field
- Proven track record of delivering complex agile software projects on time, on budget and to a high standard
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of developers, data scientists and AI or machine-learning specialists
- Structured, delivery-oriented approach with a strong drive to get things done
- Project management qualifications (PMI/PMP, PRINCE2 or IPMA C/D)
- Ability to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years
