Senior Manager, Disease Area Lead

Job Summary

Develop and maintain a comprehensive disease state curriculum covering biology, patient journey, and treatment landscapes for the commercial sales team. Translate complex clinical data and therapeutic insights into engaging, field-ready learning content aligned with adult learning principles. Deliver training through instructor-led workshops, virtual sessions, and onboarding while conducting field visits to reinforce knowledge. Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Regulatory to ensure all materials are scientifically accurate, commercially relevant, and compliant with industry standards. Partner with Sales Training leadership to assess field gaps, monitor the competitive landscape, and measure the impact of education on HCP engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical science, clinical education, or a related field
  • Deep expertise in BU specific category, including disease biology, treatment protocols, clinical data interpretation, and the competitive landscape
  • Strong understanding of the patient journey and the clinical decision-making process of oncology healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling, and commercially relevant learning content
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
  • Experience navigating the MLR review process and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical promotional standards
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools, LMS platforms, and virtual training technologies
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to engage both scientific and commercial audiences
  • Ability to travel up to 30-50%

Desired Qualifications

  • advanced degree (PharmD, MS, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical sales training, medical education, or MSL (Medical Science Liaison) roles
