Job Summary
Senior Manager – DevOps and cloud Architecture – IT based in Chennai leads the strategy and execution for the internal DevOps platform, multi-cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and platform governance. Responsible for guiding hybrid/multi-cloud environments, enabling self-service capabilities for development teams, mentoring a DevOps engineering team, enforcing DevSecOps standards, monitoring platform performance and developer experience (DORA metrics), and partnering with Security, Infrastructure, and ITSM teams to ensure incident management and security compliance. The role emphasizes leadership, automation initiatives, and the adoption of AI/GenAI solutions to enhance productivity and platform intelligence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 12+ years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering leadership roles
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
- Experience building/scaling Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) or enterprise DevOps ecosystems
- Deep understanding of DevSecOps practices including SAST, SCA, and compliance frameworks
- Experience in governance, audit readiness, and security posture improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Experience in integrating ITSM tools (ServiceNow) into DevOps workflows
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
- Scripting knowledge (Python/Shell) and familiarity with GenAI in DevOps is a plus
