Job Summary
Lead the development, execution, and evaluation of the Association's educational portfolio, partnering with physician leadership to create innovative programs that drive non-dues revenue. Direct planning and design of live, virtual, hybrid, and enduring learning experiences while managing staff and fostering innovation. Identify new opportunities, establish annual objectives, and utilize data analytics to guide future investments. Collaborate with development teams to secure grants and support strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations. Serve as primary liaison to committees, prepare reports for senior leadership, and ensure content aligns with accreditation standards. Manage multiple complex projects, implement operational efficiencies, and coach staff in project management and stakeholder engagement. Requires onsite presence two days weekly, including one Wednesday monthly, with up to 10% annual travel.
Required Qualifications
- College degree
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in association education, continuing medical education, healthcare education, or professional development
- Demonstrated success leading educational strategy, program development, and staff management
- Experience developing new educational products and revenue-generating initiatives
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail including the ability to coordinate workflow, determine priorities, meet deadlines and effectively balance competing demands
- Team-centered focus with the ability to lead team efforts efficiently with limited resources
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to prepare quality documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Required travel to the AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, committee meetings, and live courses several times a year
- Occasional evening and weekend work
- Expectation to be onsite 2 days a week
- One Wednesday a month being one of the required days for an All Staff In-person Meeting
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force and movement while travel
- Travel required up to 10% annually
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Cadmium and Nimble
- Demonstrated experience in developing continuing medical education
- Knowledge of ACCME requirements
