Job Summary
Senior Manager of Data Science and Analytics for eBay Live leading a team of data scientists and collaborating with Trust, Risk, and Compliance to identify opportunities, measure impact, and translate insights into operational decisions. Responsibilities include defining the analytic roadmap, building scalable data infrastructure and measurement frameworks, developing KPIs to monitor user experience on the Live platform, and delivering strategic insights that drive customer experience and business results. Required skills include leadership and mentoring of data teams, deep analytical capability to identify root causes, proficiency in Python/R and SQL, experience with predictive modeling and NLP/GenAI, and the ability to partner with Product Management, Analytics, Engineering, and Design to operationalize analytics and influence decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Educational background in BA/BS with 7+ years in quantitative roles OR Masters/PhD with 3+ years in relevant areas (Quantitative Research, Analytics, Data Science)
- Experience leading teams of data scientists and analysts
- Proficiency in programming (Python/R) and data querying (SQL)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate insights to senior leaders
