Job Summary
Senior Manager, Data Science & Analytics at Customer.io leads and grows the internal data science and analytics function, partnering with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience to drive decision-making through forecasting, experimentation, behavioral analytics, and rigorous measurement. Responsibilities include leading a team of Data Scientists and Analysts, guiding behavioral analytics, customer segmentation, experimentation and product measurement, developing revenue forecasts and health scores, collaborating with Data Engineering on the Smarty analytics platform, and defining standards and practices to scale the function. Requirements include 7+ years in data/analytics fields, expertise in experimentation and forecasting, strong SQL and Python skills, ability to define metrics and measurement frameworks, experience influencing senior leaders, familiarity with Snowflake/dbt, and comfort balancing strategic leadership with hands-on analysis. The role is based in the Americas with remote-friendly arrangements and offers a salary range of $170,000–$200,000 USD plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Product Analytics, or related quantitative field, including experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong expertise in experimentation, forecasting, statistical analysis, and product or business analytics
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency with Python or similar analytical tools
- Experience defining metrics, measurement frameworks, and analytical approaches that support product, growth, and business decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders, influence strategy, and communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on analytical work when needed
- Experience working with modern analytics platforms and data warehouses, including Snowflake, dbt, and product analytics tools
- Experience in B2B SaaS, PLG, or subscription-based businesses preferred
- Based in the Americas, remote-friendly
