Senior Manager, Data Governance

Job Summary
Execute Encore's Enterprise Data Governance strategy by establishing policies, standards, and controls across Finance, Operations, HR, and Sales domains. Lead a network of business data stewards while implementing automated quality rules, lineage tracking, and impact analysis using Microsoft Purview, OneLake, and Power BI. Partner with FP&A, Operations, Legal, Security, and IT leaders to embed governance into daily workflows, ensuring compliance with privacy and retention policies. Translate governance metrics into business value stories that improve trust in data for revenue forecasting and labor optimization. Work primarily in an office environment with irregular hours and on-call status including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or analytics
- 3+ years in leadership or stewardship enablement roles
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Purview, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, OneLake)
- Proven ability to build and operationalize governance frameworks within enterprise-scale environments
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and data lineage principles
- Experience in Event Services, Hospitality, or Workforce Management environments
- Familiarity with data cataloging, certification, and ownership workflows in Fabric and Purview
- Working knowledge of AI governance and data readiness for ML/AI model development
- Strong presentation skills for executive steering and governance councils
- Must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment
- Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
