Job Summary
Senior Manager, Data Engineering role overseeing ownership of key data technologies (Snowflake, Informatica, Power BI) and delivery of scalable, reliable, cost-efficient data solutions across the enterprise. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of data engineers and BI developers; establishing delivery standards, performance expectations, and career development plans; driving modernization of data architecture and platform governance; managing enterprise data platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and observability; developing roadmaps and multi-year budgets; prioritizing initiatives and aligning with strategic objectives; collaborating with IT, security, and business units; expanding AI/self-service analytics capabilities and enabling governed data products. The position is fully remote with applicants in different states encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams
- Strong expertise with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, ETL/ELT tools, Power BI)
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and prioritizing competing demands
- Demonstrated experience developing roadmaps and managing budgets
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
