Job Summary
Shape strategic engineering direction and holistic roadmaps for an enterprise-wide data transformation, bridging governance with hands-on operational leadership. Lead and mentor a team of 10–15 engineers, managing their full professional lifecycle from recruitment to career advancement. Establish rigorous SDLC protocols, "Definition of Done" frameworks, and quality metrics to minimize technical debt while governing secure API architectures and production-ready systems. Optimize resource strategy by right-sizing squads and aligning capabilities with prioritised domain roadmaps across retail, hotels, and digital squads. Ensure system integrity through critical security guardrails for client-server communication, webhook implementations, and authenticated server-side validations. Partner with external teams to integrate emerging industry trends and deliver reliable business outcomes.

- Extensive experience managing engineering cohorts
- Conducting performance cycles
- Orchestrating resource distribution across multiple delivery squads
- Expert knowledge of enterprise platforms like Databricks
- Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Sophisticated grasp of Medallion modelling frameworks
- Sophisticated grasp of Kimball modelling frameworks
- Strong proficiency in API development
- Proficiency in secure authentication protocols (OAuth)
- Proficiency in complex error handling across runtimes such as Python
- Proficiency in complex error handling across runtimes such as PySpark
- Proven track record of building robust CI/CD pipelines
- Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code via Terraform
- Executing advanced data validation using dbt frameworks
- Demonstrated mastery of version control systems
- Multi-environment deployment strategies
