Job Summary
Lead the architecture, development, and implementation of the firm's enterprise data lakehouse to ensure reliable data flows across systems. Establish and enforce integration standards, frameworks, and best practices in hybrid environments while overseeing data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using modern Microsoft ecosystem tools. Define and execute the cloud data migration strategy, including prioritizing workloads and delivering a structured Azure roadmap, while assessing infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. Build, mentor, and lead a team of data engineers and BI developers to deliver scalable self-service reporting and dashboarding solutions that enable actionable insights. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements across all integrated systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in data, engineering, or technology roles, including at least 3–5 years in a team leadership capacity
- Proven track record delivering large-scale data integration and cloud migration programs, ideally within Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabrick or Databricks, Power BI or similar tech for analytics, reporting, and semantic models
- Good understanding of REST API, JSON, XML, and web services
- Strong understanding of SQL and ability to create performance optimized code
- Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Demonstrated experience with LLM-enabled workflows and annotation pipelines
- Experience working with version control systems and solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and modern engineering practices
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory requirements in enterprise environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing technical teams
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage ambiguity
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in data and technology
- Ability to work additional hours, as needed
- This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change
