Job Summary
Senior Manager, Cyber Security Engineering for Manufacturing & Retail Security responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT and OT (industrial control system) infrastructures across manufacturing and retail environments. Drives security architecture, vulnerability management, deployment of IDS/IPS and endpoint security tools, incident response coordination, and compliance with frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and IEC 62443. Collaborates with IT, production, software development, and compliance teams to mature cybersecurity measures, develop secure data and network protections for IT/OT, and lead training programs for plant staff and IT personnel. Requires leadership and mentorship of cybersecurity professionals and the ability to influence manufacturing and retail leadership on security needs. Preferred certifications include CISSP, CEH, CISM, OSCP, or GICSP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 - 7 years in cybersecurity, with exposure to manufacturing and retail environments (i.e. networks, Point of Sale, industrial control systems, on-prem and cloud infrastructure)
- Experience with managing teams
- Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in industrial cybersecurity are advantageous
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 5 - 7 years in cybersecurity with exposure to manufacturing and retail environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in industrial cybersecurity are advantageous
- Technical skills: Networking protocols, firewall management (Palo Alto and Fortinet), intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, cloud security (AWS, Azure)
- Scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell
- Experience with OT systems: SCADA, PLCs, DCS, Modbus, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP
- Knowledge of Retail systems: PoS system security
- Experience with on-prem and cloud environments related to manufacturing and retail
- Establishing zero-trust architectures and segmentation
- Ability to develop training programs for non-technical manufacturing staff
- Ability to influence with a strong presence
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, OSCP, or GICSP preferred
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop cybersecurity professionals
